Patch Note Rundown: 5.7

Hey everyone! It's time for another patch note rundown. As always, I'll be tl;dr-ing the changes that came up this patch, giving brief insight as to why they happened, and picking out the highlights. Patch 5.7 is coming in the wake of 5.6's Buff Barge, provided extra help to champions that might have fallen off while knocking down those who've been sailing smooth for too long. Keep reading to take a look at the most important changes!




Big Changes


Darius
The Hand of Noxus was formerly the scourge of top lane, decimating opponents and dunking entire teams into the dust. However, his late-game Achilles Heel has always remained and after a couple of nerfs, Darius faded into obscurity. These changes are to give Darius a little more spring in his step, allowing the Hand to actually have a late-game while maintaining his primary weaknesses.

  • Noxian Guillotine (R)
    • Restores 25/50/100 on kill.
    • At rank 3 only, killing an enemy with Noxian Guillotine completely resets its cooldown.

Rek'Sai
Rek'Sai has been the target of more than a few balance changes since her introduction to the League, all of which have been reducing her early game damage and giving her more late-game mobility in exchange. This patch is no different.




  • Queen's Wrath (Q)
    • Attack damage ratio reduced from .3 of bonus AD to .2 of bonus AD.
  • Tunnel (E)
    • Cooldown on reusing tunnels changed from 10 seconds at all ranks to 10/9/8/7/6 seconds. 


Tristana
Everyone's favorite Bandle Gunner has been struggling of late, especially since her new kit doesn't synergize with the conventional marksman build anymore. The buffs in this patch are intended to give her a potential off-build that can help her along.





  • Rapid Fire (Q)
    • Basic attacks while Rapid Fire is active reduce the cooldown of Explosive Charge by .5 seconds. This reduction is doubled against champions.
  • Explosive Charge (E)
    • Cooldown reduced from 16/15/14/13/12 seconds to 16/15.5/15/14.5/14 seconds.


Small Changes

Bard
  • Base AD and armor increased.
  • Meep respawn time reduced.
  • Chime mana restore increased from 15 + 8% missing mana to 12% total mana.
  • Cosmic Binding (Q) base damage and ratio increased.
Blitzcrank
  • Overdrive (W) now grants massively increased movement speed that decays over its duration. 
  • After it's duration ends, Overdrive now slows Blitzcrank by 30% for 1.5 seconds.
Fizz
  • Seastone Trident (W) passive damage over time changed from 20/30/40/50/60 + (0.45 ability power) over 3 seconds to 20/30/40/50/60 (0.45 ability power) + 4/5/6/7/8% of target's missing health over 3 seconds.
  • Seastone Trident's active damage changed from 10/20/30/40/50 + 4/5/6/7/8% of target's missing health to 10/20/30/40/50 + (0.25 ability power).
Garen
  • Demacian Justice (R) cooldown decreased from 160/120/80 seconds to 120/100/80 seconds. Justice. 
Maokai
  • Sap Magic (passive) health restore reduced from  7% of maximum health to 5/6/7% (upgrades at levels 7 and 13).
Nidalee
  • Base health lowered from 541 to 511.
  • Health per level lowered from 90 to 80. 

Other Changes
  •  Enchantment: Cinderhulk health reduced and cost increased.
  • Tiamat damage scaling changed.
  • Gift of the Toadstool damage reduced.
  • Minions now have spawn effects!
  • Morgana's spell effects and ability icons have been updated!
