By Helmight
In the
bleakest hour humanity has ever faced, five legends rose above their lowly
status as LCS casters to save the world from the power of the Doom Bots of
Doom. Jatt, Phreak, Kobe, Zirene, and Rivington the Third came together and
confronted the might of the Bots in a bloody and terrible battle. Somehow,
humanity’s champions managed to secure victory in the face of terrible odds.
Key to the Caster’s victory was their clever 1-3-1 splitpushing strategy. In head-to-head
teamfights, the Doom Bots easily destroyed their fleshy opponents, which lead
to their massive gold lead through the midgame. However, they adapted too
slowly to the incessant splitpushing by Jatt and Phreak, allowing the Casters
to take tower after tower and recover some much-needed gold. Of equal note was
the Bot’s lack of interest in dragon and Baron. Had they secured those
objectives, their victory over the Casters would have been assured and all of
humanity would be doomed. Perhaps they were simply more interested in towers –
or perhaps they were too bloodthirsty. Either way, it again gave the Casters
some global gold back and let them build up enough items to confront their
artificial nemeses. With the Bots still befuddled by the splitpushing, it was a
simple matter for the Casters to shove into the base and take down the Nexus
after one final, anticlimactic teamfight.
Phreak
proved to be the MVP of the game for the Casters. Though his Jinx play was less
than stellar in the early game, he would go on to secure 13 of the Caster’s 32
kills. His passive allowed him to get multiple resets in a midgame teamfight
and secure a triple kill against the Bots, setting the Casters up for a Baron.
However, Jatt and Kobe both contributed just as much to humanity’s victory.
Jatt’s Sivir somehow managed to hold lane against Galio and Annie in a 2v1
matchup, and his constant presence in the top lane allowed the rest of the
Casters to push other objectives. Meanwhile, Kobe’s Syndra was unstoppable in
duels, forcing the Bots to send multiple members if they wanted any chance of
stopping him.
Don’t
misunderstand though – the Doom Bots of Doom didn’t die easily. Jatt was stuck
on his tower for a good portion of the laning phase thanks to the incessant
pressure of Galio, Annie, and a truly colossal Tibbers. The Bots also had a
huge upper hand in the bottom lane. Rivington and Phreak were seemingly unable
to deal with Morgana’s Dark Bindings and set up Malzahar for tons of kills. Midgame
belonged to the Doom Bots – even with a member in the top lane dealing with
Jatt, the Bots were able to shred through the Casters like tissue paper. They
reached the Nexus several times, only to be met with just-respawned Casters
that impossibly managed to chase them off. It seemed as though humanity would
be lost.
Fortunately
however, Jatt made the call for the Casters to split up and push every lane.
The Bots were seemingly confused by the tactic and made numerous tactical
errors, allowing the Casters to slowly decrease the gold lead and get back into
the fight. The bots responded by forcibly disconnecting Zirene from the game,
giving them a numbers advantage, but even that wasn’t enough to keep them
alive. Slowly but surely, the Casters ground down their structures and forced
them into their base, finally winning the game after 30 minutes.
What have
we learned this day? We’ve learned that the Doom Bots of Doom can be beaten. We
know that humanity stands triumphant this day. But be on guard – you never know
when the Bots will return.

The most intense LCS game of the year, and by far the most important. Humanity received a grim reminder that day.
ReplyDeletehahaha. Funny write-up. I guess the AI still has a ways to go even with over powering Bots.
